Windows test build

Zicarium for Windows keeps a full copy of your records on your PC and works offline. It is a test build, and not yet code-signed.

The Windows app is being tested before its public release. It runs on 64-bit Windows 10 and 11, installs for your user account only, and does not need administrator rights.

1. Download the installer

The latest test build is on GitHub. Under Assets, download Zicarium-Setup-version.exe. You do not need the other files.

2. Run it

Test builds are not yet code-signed, so Windows does not recognise the publisher and shows “Windows protected your PC”. Choose More info, check that the app is Zicarium-Setup, then choose Run anyway. Your browser may also ask you to keep the download first.

The installer finishes on its own and opens Zicarium. A Start menu and desktop shortcut are added.

3. Sign in, or use it without an account

Choose Sign in to sync with your account. Your browser opens to sign in, then hands you back to the app. Without an account, your records stay on this PC only.

Updates

Zicarium checks for a new version when it opens and every few hours, and downloads it in the background. When one is ready it says so: it installs the next time you quit Zicarium, or straight away if you choose Restart now. You can also check from Settings → About.

Uninstalling

Uninstall Zicarium from Windows Settings → Apps. Your records stay on the PC, so reinstalling picks up where you left off. To remove them as well, first choose Settings → Account → Delete all data on this device in the app.

Problems and feedback
